Teacher Value-Added Reports Not Generated

Some teachers who taught tested subjects did not receive value-added reports, even though they are linked to students tested in those subjects. The Teacher Value-Added Reports Not Generated list provides the reasons these teachers did not receive reports.

Too few students linked to teacher: For tests analyzed with the gain model, the teacher must have claimed at least six students. For tests analyzed with the predictive model, the teacher must have claimed at least ten students. Students who took alternate assessments do not count toward the total. Students may also have been excluded if they had 45 or more unexcused absences.

Too few students with usable test scores: The teacher claimed enough students to receive a value-added report, but an insufficient number of the claimed students had usable scores. For tests analyzed with the predictive model, each student must have a minimum of three prior test scores, across grades and subjects, to be included.

Too few Full Year Equivalent students linked to teacher: To receive a report, teachers must have claimed at least six FYE students. An FYE student, in this case, is one for whom the teacher is 100% responsible. To have six FYE students, a teacher may have been 100% responsible for six students or 50% responsible for twelve students, and so on. Six FYE students is the minimum number required for a Teacher Value-Added to be generated.
